Green glamour

I’ve been a fan of Livia Firth (wife of Colin Firth) for some time now. Not just because her understated style stands out amongst the obvious Hollywood glamour, but because she manages to look that good by only wearing ethical and sustainable clothes. Her Vogue blog is an inspiration for green-minded fashionistas and I admire her courage to experiment with lesser known designers, despite knowing that whatever she wears will be scrutinised by the world’s press.

One of my favourite recent Livia outfits, is by Minna, an ethical fashion label which Elle Tea has written about before.  I’m not sure about her choice of shoe but from the ankle up, this outfit is an example of chic, ethical elegance.

Seeing this picture reminded me to take a look at Minna’s latest collection and there were quite a few pieces I had to share with you. They also have 20% off for January so now’s the time to make your ethical fashion leap, if you haven’t already!

First up is this lovely spring-like dress. Even though it’s a bit chilly outside, you could cosy this up with a big cardigan and wooly tights.

Second is this gorgeous lace number. Lace is a mega trend for s/s 11 so I predict this will be a best-seller. The detail on the waist is so delicate and lovely.

Minna Pauline dress

Lastly, I love this cropped jacket and maxi skirt combination. The maxi length was everywhere on the catwalks for ss/11, demonstrating once again that ethical fashion is where it’s at.

  1. The Verity dress would look good with some camel colored fishnets. We have a huge variety of black patterned tights that would be great accessories to these dresses. The Pauline dress would be cute with these
